Is she back yet?? LOL :)

Hey guys, I just wanted to let everyone know I'm back in the saddle again HEHEHE :) I had a lot of Family Trama this past several months and it has prevented me from doing much of anything. This week I am getting myself back on track, so keep your eyes peeled for some new creations!!!

MSB has a lot of new great images. I'm going to try and get a few of those completed by end of week.

Also I had all my new Ian/Anya stamps come in the mail and WOW they are all so cute I have GOT to use them.

So there is lots of new things on the horizon - stay tuned!!!

New MSB August Release!

It's that time again at Modern Sugar Blvd for August Releases. A ton of new images have been released so check out the Modern Sugar Blvd Blog and the Modern Sugar Blvd Store for all the details. Here are some of my cards I created with the new August Images...

I changed the Rootbeer mug to just a plain Beer mug, and I made Beer sweeties lol. This is one of the best things I like about Digi Images. I can flip the image and make duplicates so easily!!

The second is a Laundry Detergant bottle, and SNUGGLE instantly came to mind. A great way to tell someone you need a suggle!

Finally, is the tea image. How sweet is this!!!? I coupled this with a MFT sentiment that I felt worked perfect with it. The fun part is this image can go with so many sentiments - I had easily match 5 to it and choose the MFT one.

Also don't forget about the new MSB Card Scents. There are so many fun ones and even scents for the up coming Fall/Halloween Season. Have fun trying to pick JUST ONE :) lol

Thanks for visiting and as always please feel free to leave comments - I love to hear your feedback!

More Halloween

I did one more card today with the Halloween theme...I'm on a roll!

I used a Stampendous stamp for the sentiment, which I think is arodrable for Halloween. I have been anxious to use it. I also used a Dustin Pike Digi image for the web. It's part of his 'Corner Spider' Digi. I love the background DP here. It is so sparkly close up and I used stickles on the web so it would match.... you can never have enough sparkle!

I used SCS Sketch Challenge 240 for this :) I thought it was the perfect layout for these images. Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment - I love to hear opinions - GOOD and bad lol.

SC241 - An Early Halloween

Dustin Pike
just released new Halloween Images, They can be purchsed direcdtly off his blog. Check them out if you haven't had a chance. I was anxious to get a card made today using one of the many images from the new Halloween set. I really do love his work!!

I thought the stacked Pumpkins were adorbale. I used SCS Sketch Challenge #241, but I made an error. I made both back panels the same size and one should have been slightly smaller than the other. No harm done, lol....I still loved how it came out.

Thanks for looking - DEE :)

Saturday Challenge ...and a JOKE? :)

Today is the Saturday Challenge at MSB - Don't forget to get the deets at the MSB Blog and check out what all the buzz is about. Speaking of buzz...I'm hoping I have one right now from my Margerita HAHA :)

I'm almost back home - I thinkz :) I don't have a card to show today, but I will be returning on the 15th and I may threw something fun together for my return using one of the new images that got released this past week at MSB. Thanks for visiting my blog while I was on vacation and I appreciate all the lovely comments you guys leave.

Here's a cute joke I got from my B/F in email today.

A woman walked into the kitchen to find her
Husband standing around with a fly swatter

"What are you doing?"
She asked.

"Hunting Flies"
He responded.

"Oh. Killing any?"
She asked.

"Yep, 3 males, 2 Females," he replied.

Intrigued, she asked.
"How can you tell them apart?"

He responded,
3 were on a beer can,
2 were on the phone.

HUGZ - Dee :) (hoping to return with a killer tan - PLEASE OH PLEASE) lol

BUT........ you can't see the image just yet :) Here is a lil peek. I'm sorry it's so blurry but I think you get the idea. I have to say, to date, this is my fav MSB image. Here comes the Bride...

NO, not me lol. At least not yet! The Bride is my card lol. Here is the the new image and challenge that will be released tomorrow, Saturday June 6th, at Modern Sugar Blvd. Today if your reading this on Saturday - haha :)

The challenge was to use this image (and there are also wonderful champange glasses as well). Part of the challenge is to use something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue....how fun is that! So here is my take for the Challange.

OLD: The Swarovski Crystals

NEW: The Image :) and the Metallic Paper I used as a base (a lil hard to see in the picture but yummy IRL)

BLUE: The DP didn't originally have blue so I used my Gel pen to add blue touches and of course the blue flowers, blue Prima and the blue CS.

Hope you guys join in on the fun :) check the MSB Blog for details Saturday afternoon after 1PM! And please make sure you check the other Sugars blogs (links in my right sidebar) ...there work is so amazing, and you will enjoy all the previews - I promise!

Also, I will be gone on vacation until the 15th :) Any posts you see from now til then will be auto posts. I sure hope they work *crosses fingers*. I wouldn't deprive you guys of sneak peeks and previews - the horror of it! lol :) Plus.... MSB is also having a major release on June 11th and you won't want to miss out on that. Wait til you see the adorable 4th of July images that are coming out!!!! They are to die for. Have a wonderful week guys, and I will miss you all!

Your Groovy

Here is another image that was released this past Saturday at the Modern Sugar Blvd Store .....it's so GROOOVY lol. I had a blast making this card and mixing colors I normal would not mix. I used my 1$ papers from Michael's and added the red in for accent. I usually don't mix red and greens til Christmas lol. I topped it off with a prima flower and sprakle brad.

Make sure you check out MSB for all the other groovy images that were released this past weekend.

Thanks for stoping in :)

Another MSB Preview - A Challenge and a Case :) & SC229

Today is the BIG release day at the Modern Sugar Blvd Store - yippeee!!! Here are two more previews for the images that will be released today, PLUS a challenge ...Phew BUSY BUSY day :) Come join in on all the fun!

Here are the 2 new previews for release today. First up is 'Precious Dance Scene'. I totally looooove this image and I had a lot of fun creating this. How pretty is she!? for this card I used SCS Sketch Challenge SC229 and I flipped panels 3 and 4 to fit my image size. I also cased a card which I never have done before, this is my first case. It was so lovely I couldn't help myself! Here is the card I cased from EmileeAnn. The result was this....

Next up was a project I created with another new image, 'Mr. Devil's Food Cake' ... HOW CUTE IS THAT NAME!!! As soon as I saw this image I knew what I would make. I have a bunch of Wilton Icing Dyes (pictured below) and I needed some type of storage for them. I created this box just for that reason :)

I used stickles for the icing :) and my oversize crystals which I think are awesome.

This new image will also be released today and be part of our exciting challenge!!! I used SCS sketch challenge SC228 and just shifted the main panal slightly left. The sentiment is a stamp by Amsy Ravsy and can be found at AllthatScraps. Please visit the Modern Sugar Blvd Blog anttime after 1pm CST and all challenge details will be posted. Come Join the fun~ :)

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Today Modern Sugar Blvd Store released two new images!!!....one being 'It's Time to Clean'. I actually created this card awhile back and it was one of my submissions for making the final MSB Design Team...yippeeeee, which I apparently made lol :)

A New Use for my Cricut Expression :)

My Boyfriend came up with a great idea on another use for my Cricut Expression. He thought it would be neat if I labeled my Container Garden Pots so I knew what was in each without having to use tags (that usually always disappear somehow). I matched them to my new deck cushions (which you can see a lil of in my second picture)

Check it out. Here are a couple of pics

If you want to see the rest just head on over to my Container Garden Blog

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: The deck needs to be stained so badly so I'm hoping to convince my boyfriend to add it to the 'honey do' list for this summer LOL!!!

New Releases

Happy Monday,

Modern Sugar Blvd has released more images this past weekend - yippeeeee. YES - more new images!!! lol. Here is the project I created using 'Simply Ava' which can be found at the Modern Sugar Blvd Store under the new line called 'The Sista's' :)

I created a Rainy Day Fund box. Expecially with the economy being as bad as it is lately it's always smart to save for a rainy day (or a shopping spree of craft supplies lol). So as soon as I saw the new image, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I found this wooden box at Hobby Lobby and it was prefect for my idea.

First I sanded and painted the wood with a nice rainy blue color. I used Perfect Paper Adhesive to adhere my paper to the project. This product is awesome. No wrinkles no bubbles (it can be found at Michaels). The Sentiment is computer generated and I added a Prima flower and rhinestone to the center. Ribbon and other rhinestones were added all around the box itself. Here are pictures of the inside and out. I'm not sure you can see it in the picture but I added Stickles to the umbrella, jacket and boots in yellow.

What the box looks like open...

Plenty of room for your spending money, your credit cards, and any other items needing to be stashed for a Rainy Day :)

Have a great day and thanks for the visit!!!

Kids .....THIS IS FUNNY!!!

Still no cards but something funny to show you :) I got this from a friend at work in email. It was forwarded around a lot but the jist is ....

The email was titled KIDS:

it said....

So, there I was . . . just relaxing
in front of the TV, and then the kids yelled from the back yard, 'Hey, come see the kittens..'

ROFLBO!!! Is that not the most hysterical of all things. I could see my nieces and nephews doing this!!!! So make sure your kids know that kittens usually don't look like this!!! TOO FUNNY and CUTE....LOL :)

Karma :)

Hi Guys :) Happy Thursday!!!

I will be taking a lil break from creating :) Just a day or two of no cards, nothing major. I will still be here reading blogs and so forth, just no new card work again til Saturday. I know ...some of you must just drop thinking about how crazy that sounds, or how crazy I am for saying it lol, but we all need a lil tiny break here and there. I actually have been under the weather, with things getting better ...than worse, than better. I figured a lil R&R couldn't hurt. It's hard to walk away from the stamp desk, but I think it will prove to be a positive thing! Only for a day or two - I promise!

I have a few auto posts set up for today and tomorrow. Just a few things I wanted to share since I won't have new cards to post just yet.

The first thing is Ri over at Coconut Lounge Creations has given me a Karma Award for my Blog!!! How incredibly sweet is that! I was so honored as I have never got a blog award before :)

I was listed as one of the award Participants!!! *smiling with pride* hehehehehe. If you haven't seen her blog please take a second to check it out. She has the cutest of all cards. Now I'm supposed to pass this award on to eight other blogs I feel worthy, but I don't think it should be passed to a set number. I do feel it should be sent to the number you choose to pass it on to....SO I have three special people in mind.

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers"

If your not familiar with there blogs, please visit them, you won't regret it. These ladies have awesome mad talent. Each person getting this award deserves it. I wanted to pass this special Karma Award on to them becasue there sweetness has won me over and they all got awesome Karma!
Joni, Crystal and Sue - please pass this on to as many blogs as you feel deserve this too ...1, 8 or 100. It's up to you. Include the special note in quotes up above when you do. Everyone should feel the Karma love.

Date Night - Sneaky Peeky

Here is one more sneak peeky from Modern Sugar Blvd soon to be released so keep an eye out for it :)

Scoot on Over - SC225

Here's a sneak peek at a new digi image soon to released from Modern Sugar Blvd ... make sure you check back for release information.

I did this for last weeks SCS Sketch Challange - SC225. I sponged the sky and clouds..which is my first time doing that and I'm pleased how it turned out. It's hard to see in the photo but I used yellow stickles on all the lights. The sentiment is computer generated and I colored the image using Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I finally got to use a key charm that I just recently got. My boyfriend Kelly bought it for me. He's always helping out my card making where he can. He shows up with crafting supplies - Gotta love him!!! I'm spoiled *big grin* Plus you should have seen him smile when he saw I used it...that was the best! I thought the key added to the sentiment perfectly. I also added prima flowers and some dew drops to finish it off. I'm pleased with the over all finish and I hope you likz it too.

Thanks for stoping by and have a great Day :)
HUGZ- Dee :)

You're My Hero ....Super Dragon

Here is a card I made tonight for the SCS Try a New Technique Challenge (TLC218). When I saw we had to use marbles to create our own backgrounds I just had to try it. It sounded too fun. When I started the card I realized I didn't have any marbles, but I wasn't going to give up lol. I started searching the house looking...and looking...and looking. Still nothing ....so It finally hit me. I took fondant gum paste (for cakes) and rolled out my own marble shapes and used that :) I knew that stuff would come in handy for something one day lol.

I used a Dustin Pike image for this. I just couldn't resist this adorable Super Dragon. He's to stinkin cute. I colored him using Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I used superman colors too..red, blue and yellow. I have to say this was SO MUCH fun to make. I got ink dyes all over me, my clothes, my fingers and I think even the cat lol - but it was a blast.

Thanks for looking and hope you have a wonderful day!
Hugs Dee

A lil update and some news :)

I'm feeling better today :) I was down and out for a bit, but back to feeling somehwhat normal again...Yippeeeee....The Doc visit this past Friday did me good.

Now for some News. Dustin Pike has a bunch more new digi stamps up again (as of Friday)!!!! I'm a bit behind but catching up fast lol. I LOVE Dustin's work. If you haven't seen it yet, take a swing by his BLOG. The man is a genuis, and has some awesome new and fresh images. They are adorbale and a must see!

For those of you that are still anti-Digi Stamp, (as I once started), he offers free images every Wednesday. Take a look threw his blog history and download one and give it a shot. How can you argue with FREE :) I myself never thought I would like them, and now I'm hooked lol. I will eventually have all his images at one point or another. Also if your STILL against them - he has a rubber stamp line coming out soon which is AWESOME news. Hopefully I will have some new cards up soon in the next day or two using one of his images now that I'm on the comeback trail :)

Also he announces his new DT on May 3rd. The deadline to apply is the 30th (so you still have time). Talk about anxious and excited??!!! I did apply and I'm crossing my fingers (a lot) on this one lol. I can't imagine how cool it would be to be on his Design team, (considering they are my fav Digi's). Well I will be sure to report back here when he decides. If you can and it's not too much to ask for, please send some extra special lucky wishes this way :)

Happy Monday all!

Modern Sugar Blvd Grand Opening ....

Modern Sugar Blvd Store GRAND OPENING!!!
The Online store will be opening up this afternoon!!!! I am so excited. Please stop by and check it out if you get a chance as they have adorbale images!!!

I promised a sneek peek and here is one of the image they will be realeasing today
'In the Kitchen Gal':

Also releasing today will be:

Details on Recipe Box: I created this recipe box using a template I found Here at Rainy Day Creations. All the details on how to make this box are listed there. I colored the image using Primacolor Pencils and OMS. The box holds 4x6 Recipe cards. I used Shrinky Dinks made for digital images to make the Oil tag. I just ran the shrinky dink material threw my printer and then colored the image with my copics. This project was a blast to make. The template was so simple and I scored and had it cut in just minutes.

The great thing about this box is it is very functional. When you are ready to use a recipe just clip your card to the front of the box and you are ready to go!

Thanks for stoping by and make sure you check out the other creations made by the other Sugara of Modern Sugar Blvd. All the DT Sugars are listed on my right sidebar. Thank you for stoping by and visiting!

Get Well

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a great night :)

Here is a card I just finished making using YES another DUSTIN PIKE Digi Stamp. I am wild about his art and I thought this was the cutest ever image and had to have it. He is such a cute Dragon all bandaged up hehehehe. I ran the tan CS threw my cuttlebug with Swiss Dots to make it look like a bandade :)

The charms that are hanging say 'GET WELL' and I took a close up pic so maybe you can see it better

I really enjoyed making this card. Hope you likes! Thanks Dustin for the wonderful images!
