YNS Fun Friday - Stamp Storage

Hey Guys,

Today for Fun Friday I created the following card using Flower Fhiona.

I used SC373 for my layout. I added a little St. Patrick's Day twist to this card. Her original hair clips where hearts so I re-stamp the image and cut out a few extra hearts, and changed them into shamrocks :)

I added tons of Stickles as always.

I also used the sentiment that came with this set. I love all sentiments that have the dream theme in them.

Today's tip is to show you guys how I store my Your Next Stamp Sets.  I purchased these boxes at The Container Store.

I absolutely love these boxes. They are so convenient and can be used for so many different supplies. Then when you place them in your storage shelves, desk etc, they look good!

The YNS Stamp Sets fit in just PERFECTLY.

My large sets are placed into sandwich size Ziplock Bags.

Then, I just fold under the extra piece. The smaller sets are placed in 4x6 protective photo pockets. I cut them down slightly to make a better fit.

I lay the large sets across the top and the smaller sets along the bottom. It really does fit perfectly. I can stack 6 or 7 sets in each pile. That's a good 50 sets in just one box :)

I have tried so many methods of storage, including binders, and this works best for me. I can easy flip threw the stacks and see exactly what I have. It makes it so easy to pick a set to use.  i hope you guys enjoyed today's post. What is your favorite form of storage? - I would love to hear about it. Leave it in the comments below.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Friday!

SC332 - Drinks !

Today I wanted to play along with the SC332 Sketch from SplitCoast.  It seemed like a fun Sketch and I haven't played along with them for a bit - So I tried to break my dry spell with them lol.

My Mojo wasn't flowing 100% today, but I played along anyway :) Here is the Sketch I followed:

This is the card I created...

My image is from Your Next Stamp, and it's called Shirley Temple Ellie. I mostly can not decide if I love the Ellie stamps more or the Fhiona! I tried to stay away from the Cork, but no can do lol.  A funny story about cork....I have an unfinished hallway that leads to my new scrapbook room and the floor needs to be done still.  I couldn't decide what to put down, and Kelly suggested we do a CORK floor LOL. I looked into it and it seems cork flooring is very 'in' now and very green.  It's prefect HAHAHA and as soon as I can save some extra money up I will be having it installed. I'm addicted to cork!!!

Back to my card (sorry lol)...

I used a sentiment stamp from MFT. I just thought this was the perfectly matched saying for this image :)

I colored my image in Copics and added some Stickles to the lime.  Gotta love the Stickles!!!

Thank you so very much for visiting today, and I hope you all enjoyed todays card!

SC327 - Eggstra Special and

Hi Everyone!

First there is a new challenge up at YNS Challenge Blog.  So check it out if you can :)

Second  I wanted to show you all a card I created using the new Easter Bunny Fhiona from Your Next Stamp. She is so super cute. I used this weeks SC327 Sketch for my card.

Here is the Sketch!

Here is the card I created:

I used this super gorgeous paper from Provo Crafts Collage Pad - Silvers and Golds. It has shimmer on all the silver parts and I LOVE LOVE it!  If you look on the top right corner of the card you can see the shimmer. YUMMY!!

My Main image was colored with Copics and I added Stickles to the ear and some of the neck bow areas.

The ribbon is from my stash and was part of a scrap bag that I picked up at a local crop last year. I love this ribbon and was so happy to finally be able to use it up.

The sentiment is from Fhiona's Easter Basket Set from Your Next Stamp.

Thanks for visiting!

SC324 - Bee Happy

I created this card for this weeks SC324 Challenge over at Splitcoast.

Here is the Sketch:

I used the Bee from The Day Dream Fhiona set over at Your Next Stamp. How cute is he! I felt he deserved his own card lol.

I colored him with Copics. My Paper (The Shiny Black Stripes) is from Stampin' up. I think this is the yummiest of all papers. I believe it's discontinued and I'm down to my last few pieces :( I used the a dots embossing folder for my yellow cardstock.  The sparkly Button is from Hobby Lobby and I added black and white twine as it's sooo perfect for a Bee card.

The Sentiment I created on my PC.

I had such a fun time making this card. It was a quick late night project as I was bored hehehe. I love the way this came out and I hope you like it too!

SC321 - SHOES and Mojo180 MORE SHOES

Today I created a couple of cards (so make sure you scroll all the way down so you don't miss the second card). The first card I created was for Splitcoasts
Sketch Challenge SC321. My Stamp I used is part of the Dancing Princess from Your Next Stamp. Who doesn't like shoes and purses??? I have so many I'm afraid to count LOL!

Here is my Card:

This was so fun to create. I colored it with my Copics and added LOTS of bling. Stickles and Rhinestones and more Stickles and more Rhinestones. I used the Basic Grey EVA stack for my DP. The Sentiment is from Amy R and reads, "Totally Chic". Here are a few close ups.

I used three different MFT Die-namics on this, the
Open Scallop Boarder, the Rolled Flower and the smaller leaves from the Flower Trio and Leaf Trio. I'm truly addicted to these Dies, They are truly wonderful.

Now for my Second card. I also decided to play along for Mojo Monday 180. I decided to go 'Round'. I love this option at the end of a long month to get different. I used the same papers and the same Stamp Set from Your Next Stamp, except the sentiment I created on my PC and it reads, "Time to Shop". I also created the Clock on my PC.

Here's what I created:

This is an awesome Sketch!

How Cute do these two projects look together LOL?!

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you guys are having a fabulous week!

SC317 - I love U

Hi Everyone,

Today I decided to try something a lil different for the SC317 Challenge. I usually don't do the 'vintage' look, but I just had to give it a try. I purchased so many Valentine's Day supplies I have to use them up as quickly as I can. Okay maybe not, I have enough supplies to last me the next 10 Valentine's Day lol :) Here is the card I created....

Here is the Sketch

I used 3 different stamps for the main image: The background writing stamp is by Stampabilities and it's called Faded Text, The heart is from an old Stampin Up set I have had sitting around forever called Polka Dot Punches and the I LOVE U stamp is also Stampabilities. I stamped everything on regular tan cardstock and sponged it with Tim Holtz Destressing Inks in both Vintage Photo and Fired Brick. I also heat embossed the I LOVE U with red embossing powder. I used the new MFT die-namics Rolled up Rose Die to create the rose. This is my first time using it and I'm pretty happy with the results. I figure each one I make will get better and better - I hope lol. I also used Cork Board Paper for The background - I LOVE that stuff. Here are a few close ups ...

I used my bow easy to tie the black ribbon bow. That thing is the bomb - I can not tie a ribbon to save my life - Ha! The heart button is from Hobby Lobby. I also added black and white Baker's Twine, but I sponged it up with some Vintage Photo Destressing Ink to take the whiteness out of it so it matched better with my card. I also dry embossed the red panels with Hearts and Dots that you can see a lil better in the close ups.

The black stripped paper is so yummy it's from Stampin Up and it's so shiny. I thought it added a lot to this card.

Hope you guys like it and thanks for visiting. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

SC316 - I Love You

Hi All,

I got another All That Scraps haul (yes, another lol) and I got this cutie for my Valentine's Day Cards. How cute is she!!! I used SC316. This week is a great Sketch at Splitcoast, I totally loved this one. I'm also submitting it to ATS Wednesday Challenge.

Here is the Sketch

I did so much on this card and added some of my new goodies. I stamped her on the new Copics X-press Paper and let me say - I hate it lol. The paper that is. I was excited when they released this and I have to say I don't like it at all. I can't blend well on it at all. I like my Paper Trey Ink paper so much better. I'm glad I only got a few sheets of it to test it out, but I'm passing on it. It's hard to explain but it seems like you blend, then you look back at it looks unblended - if that makes any sense. I kept going back to blend on it and I finally just gave up - ha!

Here are a few close ups of my new goodies I added. I purchased some felt hearts, buttons and ribbon at Hobby Lobby. They had there Valentine's Day items 30% off already. I also added the oh so popular Baker's Twine that I picked up from Taylored Expressions, and I have to say I love it.

I added some heart rhinestones to her dress and some stickles to the roses. I masked her and airbrushed around her with my new Copics Airbrush System and Compressor. I love how the Airbrush looks.

Here's a shot to show off the dimensions of the card. I popped up the main image on pop dotes.

Copics used:
Skin: E0000, E00, E02 and R20 for cheeks
Hair: E31, E29, E25, and E49
Dress: R24, R27 and R29
Airbrushed Highlight: RV21
Highlight on Socks: C1

Supplies: Felt Hearts, Heart buttons, Bakers Twine, Ribbon, Heart Rhinestones, Regular Rhinestones and Nestabilities.

Stamps: All that Scraps Amy R Sentiment - I love you and Swiss Miss Rosalie

SC289 - Congrats!

Hi All,

Tonight I'm bringing you the card I created for SC289 over at SCS. I actually struggled with this sketch ...ME? yes me, but I was determined and I'm happy with the final result. The struggle was my first attempt I went off memory and apparently that is not good thing to do HA. I re-tried (looking at the sketch while I was working this time) and it worked out fine. I decided to ink up my Cosmobella. I love coloring in Bellas, but today I went with my Copics. I currently only own about 12 Copic markers, but by the end of month My Birthday Fairy will be giving me a large set. *COUGH - COUGH* hint to my Birthday Fairy lol.

I used small mirrors for the top of the card. I purchased these from Hobby Lobby :) I also used Glitter on my Background DP to step things up for the Party. I didn't glitter all the circles, just a selected few. You can see them better in the closeup below.

Here is the original Sketch I followed from SCS.

The great thing about these sketch is that there is never a deadline, and you can submit yours at any time. I hope to have time in the future to go back over some older sketches that I missed.

Thank you for visiting!!!

SC288 - Sittin here thinking about you

Hi everyone :)

I recently placed an order with All That Scraps, and went a lil' overboard (hehehe) ordering stamps during the big sale they just recently had. I have always loved C.C. Design Stamps - the Pixies and Sugarplums. Well, I took the big dive and ordered a ton of them lol. Today I decided I had to ink up Swiss Lady Bug Nora. Isn't she just the cutest thing!!

I used sketch SC288 from SCS

I used both Copics (for the skin) and my Prismacolor Pencils for the coloring. I also used tons of stickles on this project (I couldn't help myself) :) The sentiment stamp is from AmyR's Underwater Sentiments, I love this set so much and so glad I got it while it was on sale.

I even stickled the Prima flowers lol and added a chipboard flower to the center (that I colored with my Copics)

Thank you for stoppin' in and visiting!

SC285 - My Robot

Hi everyone,

Today I decided that the best way to get back into card making and to get my old MOJO back was to do a SC Challenge :) I used the most recent challenge, SC285. For those of you that know me, know that I'm totally obsessed with Dustin Pike Images, so I HAD to use his weekly Freebie Robot. You can find your copy of Dustin's Free Robot HERE. The combination seemed so perfect to me once I looked it all over. The Robot was so cute - I just had too!!

Here's my Card I created....

I used PrismaColor Pencils and Gamsol to color the image and I used stickles to highlight the heart and the lightening bolt.

Here was the original sketch from the lovely ladies at SCS.

Thanks for Looking!
